Matt was born in Virginia Beach and has lived in Northern Virginia since 2001. Matt graduated from Frank W. Cox High School in 1997 and attended James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Economics in 2001. Matt attended American University, where he earned a Juris Doctor in May of 2007. He is licensed to practice in Virginia and Maryland.

Matt has experience in a wide range of legal areas including Estate Planning and Administration, Small Business Representation, Real Estate, and Civil Litigation. His trial experience includes representation of individuals and companies before Circuit Courts throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia and Maryland, including the Arlington, Fairfax, Alexandria, and Montgomery County Circuit Courts. Matt is licensed to practice before the Virginia Court of Appeals, the Virginia Supreme Cour,t and the Supreme Court of Maryland
